Brandon,

I had a 95.5 S6 Avant, and had great luck with it. I bought it with 99k on
the clock, and the only non-mod repair work I had to do was replace the
e-brake cables and the ignition switch. Cars are very robust-the C4 chassis
might have been one of Audi's best, quality-wise, and they are extremely
straight-forward and easy to work on. The only reference I can provide on
the C5 chassis would by my father's 01 A6 2.7tt. He loves the car, but it
has been amazingly expensive to maintain and repair, and that's with no
issues with the turbos or motor...

HTH,
Jim

Subject: [urq] '95 S6A vs A6A

Guys - sorry no 200 20V or urq content in this email but am looking for some
thoughts and experiences.

My wife and I are looking at selling her 325i and getting a wagon since our
family is growing. I really want a '95 S6 Avant but common sense says we
should also check out the 1999-2002 A6 Avant. Pricing will be similar
between the two - maybe even a little cheaper for the newer A6, depending...

Looking for thoughts, experiences comparing the two....(besides the fact
that one is a sport wagon and one isn't..)

TIA--

Brandon
