Just about any car with a transversely mounted motor that is AWD uses the
Haldex system these days. See VW, Volvo, etc. The nice thing about Haldex
is that they now make a programmer which lets the driver decide the
'baseline' distribution of torque between the front and rear wheels. I have
read that a number of 'Dubbers are using this on their R32's. Pretty cool.

It seems that many more modern AWD systems work in a similar manner.
I am specifically thinking of the Haldex system in the VW R34 as I'm typing
this, but I know that there are a number of other AWD cars out there that
are essentially FWD till the grip starts to get bad.
