That is rather interesting.  I wonder, does sensation change if you switch
off the ESP?

Very interesting to hear you say that.  The very first time I rode in a
briskly driven R32, I thought I was feeling the same thing, but the
owner/driver said he didn't feel it, so I thought I might be imagining it.
I'm no expert, but I would expect that, even with the increased rearward
torque bias dialed in, you would still have that split-second required to
'inspire' the Haldex to hook up.

We have a VW R32 w/ Haldex... When launching from a stop, the front tires
slip for a 
fraction of a second until the torque transfer occurs and all four tires
bite. I think 
with the rear bias, the weight transfer would help
initial grip. Cheers!
