Hi,
I'm looking forward to wintertime, this beeing my first winter with the urq.
I have one set of unstudded Nokian wintertyres on rather corroded Ronal 8".
Then I have 1 set of Studded Kleber wintertyres (the long older studs, which
are nowadays restricted here in Finland) These are on BRAND NEW (used once)
Fuchs forged wheels!
I really look forward on breaking records on the ice track!!
Regard,

You ought to see my UrQ, my 91 200 Avant, or my 95 S6 Avant in 8" of
slush headed towards Government Camp on Highway 26 where it intersects
with Highway 35 in the winter. Long hill, 2 uphill lanes, oh boy:-)
1-2 feet of fresh snow, Ice.215/50-15 winter tires with studs, they
will truly climb trees. AND MORE importantly, stop when I want it to.
And get out of the way of all the idiots from Portland trying to drive
without tread on their summer tires at Mt Hood. Take a DE class from the
Audi club it's worth it to be able to drive better on the snow!
I'll pay any tax they want to impose to keep studded tires, to have
control on the snow! It's the 20,000lb. trucks with the chains on them
on wet and dry pavement that screw up the roads, not the studs on my
car. Think of what your insurance would be with the amount of accidents
w/o studs, Blizzacks, or at the very least M/S's. I coach skiing during
the winter and make the drive to Mt Hood from Portland at least twice a
week during Jan-March.
But in my option, Blizzacks, don't cut it on ice, regardless of
advertising claims!
