This brings up a good point, and cheaper to investigate, what pads can
you recommend with the A8 rotors / TT calipers? I am currently using
stock (made by Pagid) pads for the TT calipers.

Spent a lot of time looking at this...
If you're trying to keep the 16s, you're quite limited. The A8 rotors
are about the biggest that'll fit under them. You could probably stuff
one of the smaller Porsche calipers in there, like Boxster or C2
Monoblocs and get a 2-piece version of the rotor for that last degree.
After that, it's all up to pad choice, fluid choice, and being prepared
to brake earlier.
If you're willing to go to 17s, your options open up a lot. There are
two complete kits out there that are probably equivalent but not equal.
One uses a custom 13.1" 2-piece rotor with a 6061 hat and a Boxster
Monobloc. The other uses a 993tt 12.7" 2-piece rotor with a 7075 hat
and a 996tt Monobloc. So one's bigger with a smaller caliper while the
other is smaller with a beefier caliper. Also, 7075 is probably a
better material than 6061 for the hat. The former is sold by ECS and
the latter by Billzcat. Both all but require 17" wheels. Both are
probably quite good setups, but if it were me, I'd go with the smaller
rotor and larger caliper. I'd do it now, in fact, if I didn't have more
pressing concerns, like my car being in pieces on the floor.
-Cheers!
