[urq] Strut cartridge recommendations

If you're running Bilstein HD (don't think they made Sport for the urq),
they're designed for stock springs. Might the lowered H&Rs be causing
you to hit the compression bump stops?
Bilstein says P36-3016 and P36-3017 for the urq. The rear one is the
same for other type 85 Q, and there's a corresponding Sport model that
would probably work (P36-3058). However, nothing for the P36-3016
front. I was thinking of replacing the soft Boge Turbogas in my car,
but if there'll be a bottoming problem with the Eibachs (not quite as
short as the H&R?), I'll have to look elsewhere. I've got a set of
Bilstein Sports from my old CQ that I may try, but I know one of the
front ones is blown (hello lifetime warranty!).

Hmm, interesting. With my Bilstein/H&R setup, I get the
cringing/crashing.

Sounds about right.
My Konis were with H&Rs, current setup, Billies are with stock springs.
Let's just say that with Konis and H&Rs I would cringe every time there
was anything of sizable pothole (common in Toronto area).
I got so used to it that even after installing Billies with stock
springs I would still cringe.. however, this time nothing happen, just a
gentle "thump thump"... and that's it. World of difference.
When I first bought the car it had Porsch Cup wheels (17")... probably
because of that and the stiff suspension I discovered a bent hub when
switching to SQ brakes.
