Regarding the "windows up" issue at MMP, I wasn't there, but when I
heard about it I was interested in finding out what happened since I
run the Potomac-Chesapeake Chapter ACNA events at SP and VIR. I
queried various ACNA Board members, including the Andersons, and other
friends. Below is the response I got from Keith. I don't know him
besides our interaction through the club, have never bought anything
from him or his brother, and really have no interest in defending or
not defending him, but felt that I should put the information I have
out to the public on this...
As for ACNA and the Anderson's involvement in Audi's UCI. The UCI idea
was proposed by Audi AG, when I was on the ACNA BoD a few years ago.
There was a "kick-off" meeting in Europe and ACNA sent a rep. I think
it was Bernie, who looks like also just responded to this thread, from
the Northwest Chapter. (Hi Bernie) He reported back on what was
presented and it was left to ACNA National to continue the dialog with
Audi AG and UCI. I guess the Andersons have taken "ownership" of that
dialogue. I totally agree that there is potential for a huge conflict
of interest given their profession and position in the club. Let's
hope nothing like that comes true.

Greetings to All,
There has been many comments lately concerning windows at last weeks
Miller Motorsports Park Event. The event organizers where given the
option by the corner workers, they could have them up or down, it was
their call. They chose to run with them up if the seat was occupied.
The track did not have a set policy.
Some asked if this was a new National policy, it is not.
As stated in the Event Rules section on the Club's web site and
previously distributed, July 2005, to all Chapter Representatives, it
reads,
"Whether the car windows are open or closed, if that seat is occupied
or not, will be determined by the host track, safety personnel or
venue."
Some of the negative comments came from instructors that had been
there, MMP, for the weekend running with the NASA group. I think there
is quite a distinction between ACNA and NASA events.
