[urq] Silicone & O2 sensors

What is the list consensus and real world experience on the interaction of  
O2 sensors and silicone.
I think my recent URQ closed loop - open loop issues are from just such an  
"allergic" reaction.
What I have heard in the past from what I believe are some very  
knowledgeable folks is "yes its OK", and "no it kills them".
Anyone know for _sure_?
