I've heard about this possibility as well ... but the one I hear more often is that anti seize lubricant can damage an OXS as well. I did a web search, the most promising lead was:

... but it appears you have to have an alldata subscription to be able to view the details. If you think about it, silicone is used in numerous components in the intake tract, so it may not be the silicone itself that does the damage ... perhaps if you allowed the RTV to fully cure before running an engine it would be OK ...
