.....Time,  as in only until the end of the current F1 season.  The
rumor mushroomed from JPM leaving Mclaren to JPM leaving Mclaren and
coming to Ganassi possibly this season and actually driving for him in
NASCAR this season based on the sequence of events.  Mclaren then
issued the statement about his contract, and that they could actually
use him again this year.

There's little doubt that JPM will be with Ganassi in NASCAR next
season, most like taking a PAY CUT in doing so.  My guess is that he's
biding his time until American open-wheeled racing is re-united into
one series and he's in prime position to take advantage of it with a
guy he knows and likes in Chip G.....especially since he runs cars in
both series, and DP cars too.

Not a bad affiliation, even if he has to suffer through a few seasons
of driving equipment substandard to what he's accustomed to.
