[urq] To stripe or not to stripe....

I bought a complete set last year through Alex at Europrice. All had the
correct factory part numbers. Affordable? The rings were about $42 for each
door and from my point of view a bargain since I thought they were NLA. The
striping was fairly expensive considering how easy they are to replicate.

...and what are audi asking for stripe and door ring kits. Last time I asked
it was $115 per side to advertise Audi on each door?! I doubt the rings or
the
stripe kits are available today. Certainly not affordable......

In regards to whether one should apply the decals and badges to their
freshly painted Urq is up to the owner. Me personaly, makes the car looked
unfinished. It's part of the car's personality kinda like the rear quarter
340 billboard on some of the early seventy cuda's and Lord knows as Mopar
prices climb the badging and billboards stay on. Plus i see on ebay a person
can buy 25th anniversary decals for their A4,A6,A8 and TT which are replica
fading four rings for the doors.
