I would think if you plugged the Mighty Vac into the vent to atmo on the WG
cap - if it holds vacuum then your diaphragm should be fine...

Yeah, you're right: the wastegate spring (+ boost pressure) is the only
thing that controls actual boost. I checked it a while ago, but it may
have failed now. IS it possible to test it with a MightyVac ? IIRC, I
wasn't able to...
