I found out the hard way recently that there's another solution.  My
lines were especially crusty, so I ordered replacements.  Without much
thought, I grabbed a set for the MB urq while I was in Germany, thinking
they'd mate right up to my K24, which they did.  Then I found that the
supply line flange holes didn't line up with the holes on the filter
housing.  A peek at the line I removed showed that the holes in the oil
line had been made oval by someone.  Some careful work with a Dremel
tool and tungsten carbide grinding bit was all it took.

I might still convert to the single-filter housing in the future, but
only because that turbo filter is a real PITA to remove.
