Dead easy. You need a long piece of cable with a crocodile clip fitted at 
each end. Fix one clip to the terminal on the top of the temp sender in the 
oil pump, then take the other end of the cable round to where you sit in the 
driver's seat. Turn the ignition on and after a few seconds ground the other 
clip to the screw that retains the driver's door switch. The gauge leds 
should rapidly cycle up to show max temp.
