Felix,
I just converted my 20vt urq to vacuum brakes; this can be done regardless of what calipers you are using and independant of a caliper upgrade.

You will need:
-the brake pressure regulator from your urq
-about $10 in junkyard parts off a vaccum-braked CGT/4k for the servo mounting brackets
-a new vacuum servo and 25.4mm master cylinder (I recommend the upsized m/c if you are using g60's or larger calipers), for a total of around $400, or around $200 if you have a used vacuum servo you can put in.
-probably a different reservoir, depending on your m/c choice ($30-$40 used)
-new hardware for the pedal connection (~$15)
-miscellaneous plumbing parts (lines, tees, AN/metric adaptors) to get the thing plumbed to your hard lines, which should cost $50-$75

I posted some pictures here of how it looks put together (see bottom of page):

I got help getting all the parts together from Scott at sjmauto.com.

Good luck, and let me know if you have any further questions on this.

.>>Convert to A4 brakes and a vacuum system. While this means the car
iwill no longer be "stock", it may be the best long term option
considering a lack of parts for the factory system. I've searched the
Audifans archive, AW and used The Google but have not been able to find
a comprehensive list of parts and procedures to do this. There was also
a question about UrS6 or V8 bits for the rear and may TT pieces for the
front. I'm looking for a system that will fit under the 15" R8 rims,
preserve brake bias and hopefully "bolt-on". Would appreciate any links
or suggestions.
