[urq] Front fender liners: is this feasible ?

This will be my 6th winter with the car, and it now needs protection. I
seem to remember that the 4000 wheelwell liners are adaptable to the
urQ, is this right ? 
 
Oh Martin P, what is that yellow stuff
(http://www.quattro.ca/19874kq/87-4kq.htm) you "painted" the underside
of your 4000Q ?  Is this better than a good professional spray with
rustproofing oil like this one (http://www.antirouille.com/en/) ?
