I doubt that will be a problem, as looking at Martin's picture of the rear
suspension unloaded on a hoist:

Lots of clearance.

Also, http://filebox.vt.edu/users/rfitton/ETKA/5_01_41-00.pdf  shows the
tirod with the 'bend' in the down direction to clear the body.
