[urq] Poor idle and running rich

OK, I'm guessing it's a vacuum leak, but here's the cause/symptoms. My early
build 83 has been running on the hot side for the past year. (What tipped me
off was when the separate 30 amp fuse I installed for the radiator fan
melted because the fan was running so much.) I didn't think it was the thermostat
because I replaced it less than three years old. But when everything else
checked out to be fine I replaced it (thermostat) and voila! It's back to its
normal operating temp. It might be a coincidence, but right after I changed the
thermostat, the car now idles so low that it stall's until it's up to the
normal operating temp, and even then, I had to open the idle screw quite a bit
so that it wouldn't stall. Now it's running so rich that the exhaust smells
like fuel and smokes! (reminds me of the exhaust smell of my 1960 VW bug)
Another thing that I've noticed is that I can hear what sounds like a slight
vacuum leak inside the car when over 1000 rpm. I've checked the lines behind the
dash and to the ECU but they appear fine. It almost sounds like that vacuum
sound you hear when the AC kicks in. Any ideas?
