[urq] alternator whine puzzle (X post) long

Brandon,
It sounds like you've found the solution.  If all three whine, and none 
whine except when on the car, then the bracket sounds like the likely 
culprit. Maybe when the alternator is mounted to the bracket (due to a 
defect in that particular bracket) it's not exactly in a plane with the a/c 
and other pulleys, making some sort of sideward tension when the belt is 
installed and turns the armature.  Hopefully, as you've said, they'll 
replace it and you can at least test your theory.
