[urq] Light weight pulley

Dear Audifans:

Has anyone removed the harmonic balance pulley and
replaced it with a lighten pulley?

I have read horror stories above v6 & v8 engines
cranks breaking after the harmonic balancer was
removed.

I have read that inline 4 & inline 6's do not need the
balancer.

I assume audi put the balancer on for a reason?
