If you are talking about what I think you are talking about - there
should be no affect.  The vacuum in the little diaphragm is not
connected to the motor, IIRC.  It comes from the CC Vac pump..

Hi everyone.

Recently I noticed that the rubber grommet that helps
keep the "rod" link from the vacuum unit to the
throttle body for the cruise control, on my 88 model
90Q, must have perished and dropped off. Will that
effect the performance (acceleration) of the car?? Or
does this unite only come into play when the cruise
control is in operation? At first I thought that it
must be the catalytic converter, and then I noticed
the grommet was gone.  Thanks in advance for any
suggestion from anyone.
