...all's well with the car mechanically, but here's the deal, mech installed the HID kit and lights worked yet couldn't change low to high beam seeing as I had all the column parts at my house. So i get car back and begin the reassembling of the steering wheel and it's components. Turn the lights on and all i get is park lights and city lights. If i pull back on the highbeam stock I can engage the highbeams yet they won't stay on. Upon releasing the highbeam switch I can coax the low beams yet only if I play with the stock. now as you know the highbeam switch is actually located on PT# 321 953 519B a plunger switch that has a hook which the highbeam stock clips into the plunger to pull it back and forth when you change from low to high beam. My wipers also don't work and I have three different high beam stocks and two wiper stocks. Am i going crazy or is both of my 321 953 519 B are bad? The switches are just contacts and one of my 321 953 519 B's looks brand new no dust,
dirt nothing. As i look at ETKA I see a negitive contact 811 953 581 and I'm not sure where that goes and i don't have the car in front of me to check. Could it be that this piece could be missing from both 321 953 519 B's. The load on the load reduction relay was fixed and everything works now. Now here's where I'm confused, this is the same trouble I had before going to Carlise last year, I only had city lights. Bought a new wiper stock and high beam/cruise stock and bingo they worked great. I can't believe that the wiper switch is junk on the new one when it's just contacts. Relays seem fine, no shorts. The reason for the HID kit was the H4's ran super hot at the switch and my mech talked me into just getting rid of the old system for the new HID system and i must say the HID's are super bright and clean. I replaced the paddle switch with another one from Force5. Now, my car has city lights yet I'm not sure I understand how they are suppose to work. Should my paddle
light switch have three settings, park lights, city lights, and head lights? Obviously my headlights are not stock they are Hella H4 4000 GT (amber corners) head lights with a seprate city bulb. The paddle switch always seemed fine to me before, one click for park and one click for headlights yet I have city bulbs? weird.
