FWIW, I measured on the base line, the line the bottom of the type sits on
or it perpendicular to! If that makes any sense?

As a side note:

Eric's 85 urQ was repainted 2 years ago, and he ordered the OOOO rings for
the doors from the dealer, but they are not identical to the ones we all
know, dot-pattern+fading. His are solid silver, no dots, no fading. Anyone
has seen this before ?
