Latest hood update.
I talked to Chris at Automekanika today and sent this info to her if anyone
has anything else to add at this point now is the time to do so before the
hoods go into production?
These are things that I also think need to be addressed in the next Sport
Hood production run!
Please zoom in on the photos to read the text to get a idea of what I am
talking about.
Photo # 1.The two vents closest to the front of the car should not be cut
out or water will be trapped in the structure under the hood these two vents
were used for cool air intake on the Sport Quattro air box only.

Photo # 2. The front two vents go into this channel if they are cut out on
the top of the hood.
Also the hole for the rod that holds up the hood is covered up?
I wonder about this because if I were to drill out that hole I think the
pressure from the rod might damage the carbon fiber on the top of the hood,
unless there is some type of reinforcement there because the carbon fiber is
only 3 layers thick?

Photo # 3.The small hole should be drilled out to let water drain or air
vent!
Where the (sparco) hood pins were on the original mold should be flush and
you should not see any of this!
Reworking of the mold is in order to correct this problem.

I will give updates as the fitment continues of the hood on my part.
So far the hood hits the stock rain tray by about a inch, I had a strut
tower brace custom made that went over the power steering can that I will
redo and lower the can.
Also if using the stock air box (cis) it will have to be lowered because the
vents on the hood hit the top of the igloo must be lowered about 1.5inches I
am working on a plastic 4000 lower air box piece for that. I will let you
know what works in the days to come.
