If you want the front end to be detachable, you are better off modifying 
the original front end, by cutting and welding on tabs.  The B3/B4 stuff 
wouldn't help as it is just too different.

Personally, I am not a big fan of cutting up the front end, even if it 
does make it a bit easier to get at the front of the motor.  Maybe make 
the top cross piece with latch receiver removable, but don't bother with 
the main piece.  If you made the main cross piece removable on an ur 
quattro, you would still need to remove the bumper, valance, pull the 
wiring and hood release cables and aux radiator to pull off the front end.
