[urq] RE : Fuel pump inter-compatibility?

EKTA doesn't help much as the urQ fuel pump (431 906 091A) is unique to
urQ...

But...

Last week, a guy form the mother list sent us this link from Bosch:
http://www.boschautoparts.com/Resources/VehiclePartFinder/

There, you can search for the urQ fuel pump: 69429 and 69438 (we'll see
later why there is two part numbers).

Next, a search for a 1980 5000T, a 1986 4000CSQ or a 1987 Coupe : 69429 and
69433.

At least, you now know that Bosch has a universal fuel pump that works on
any Audi 5 cylinder (try a google search with "Bosch 69429"). But we don't
know why the 69438 is unique to urQ in that period. Different fuel pressure?
Different electrical connectors? Different fuel line connections? Anything
is possible.

We also know from this site that 69438 (or 0 580 254 968) is the direct
interchange to 431 906 091A:
 http://store.autopartsliquidations.biz/0580254968.html

Will that help ? Maybe you can try to locate a Bosch distributor and ask him
the specs of each fuel pump ?

Good luck !

Louis-Alain
