I have a similar story.
When I go to the kindergarden to bring my little girl back home, I usually
use one of the press car I drive for my editor work. In 2007, I will drive
40 different cars, one per week. And nice ones, as the press cars are
usually loaded, and top of the line vehicle. Red MX-5 with electric top, red
GTI, blue WRX, a green Wrangler, an RX-8, even a blue 12 passenger Sprinter
with the 6'3" roof, stuff
There, a little boy went to me one day and said: "you are the man who has a
new car each week ?"
I said, yes.
" How can this be ?"
I respond that my job was to test cars and write about them in a magazine.
" You know which is my preffered one ?"
I said no.
" This one", and he was pointing his finger at my Quattro, one of the rare
week that I drove it.
I was very proud, especially that many educators were outside and heard the
conversation.
Nothing beats a old red sportscar for a little boy...
