Well, time to mourn the passing of another Urquattro. You all know
I was trying to buy it out of the junkyard. Well, on Monday we
agreed on the price and that I would get the car. On Tuesday the
junkyard moved it to a "protected" area at my request, until my
father could get down there on Thursday and inspect it and pay them
for it. On Wednesday afternoon they crushed it. Clearly someone
or several people at the junkyard made a mistake. When people get
paid $5, they don't really care much. :-(

So at least I have the two ECUs and an Abt dash from the car. I
don't remember the VIN, but I will get it so Bill can officially
tag it as "deceased" on the registry list.

In the grand scheme of life, this is small potatoes. But it is sad
and good to mourn the car's passing. I'm driving my Urquattro
today in tribute. Funny how you can be sad, but still have a grin
when you're driving one.

Regards,
Eric
