I agree Ed, when we got this ball started the goal was to try to make
something work that will allow the maximum number of owners and fans attend
... hearing some east coast participants not being able to do Jackson Hole
makes it a non-starter in my book. It really sounds like Colorado doesn't
meet the criteria either.

Kansas City ... every time I hear that town I think of the quote from one of
my favorite movies ... "I left my Jag in Kansas City." ... Richard Prior
from Silver Streak. Funny, there's a clip in that movie where Richard and
Gene are driving the XKE across the plains ... reminds me of my own jaunts
in the urq ... Gawd I love the open road! Hey if KC is a place that the
folks from the right coast can have a better chance of making, I say let's
talk. I have a friend who moved out there years ago ... not an Audi fan,
but he's definitely a car nut ... he might have some suggestions about
locations that would be scenic and offer driving opportunities. Seems to me
we could look farther north too ... Fargo perhaps? :-) There are a whole
bunch of urqs north of the US border ... we should be able to accommodate
them too, eh?  {Mum's a Newfie so I can make those kind of jokes :}

Funny, I was thinking summer time for the meeting, mostly for school for the
daughter, but they do have a couple weeks off in the springtime, I might be
able to swing one of those times to do a UPG ...

I guess I'm not sure about locale though. The original goal is/was to
have one gathering. This would be a huge event if we could get the
more distant people to bite the bullet and come. That's why being
centrally located is so important. More important I think than it
being a cool destination in/of itself.

Jackson Hole doesn't really fit the bill then in my opinion. Denver
is fine with me but more of a haul for those east than say, Omaha,
which is very much more centrally located geographically. And there's
a track there we could play on, which is something that Denver can't
currently offer. Off-track driving opportunites would probably be far
superior in Denver, but fraught with big-city commute problems.
