I have been saying that for all the years since Colorado started using the mix in winter only (now year round), and my car would vapor lock in winter more than summer.
My work around has totally solved the problem. I installed a manual override switch for the fuel pump and cold start valve. If the car sits for more than a few minutes, but less than a few hours, I run the pump, and bump the CS valve. Starts every time no problem. Without that, sitting for 20 minutes hood up waiting for the system the cool down.

Subject: [urq] ethanol
Guys-
The subject of vapor locking often comes up - and for some reason I get
this Shell email - and in this issue they address ethanol in older
vehicles - and they acknowledge it can lead to vapor locking in older
cars - and it can also dislodge debris...
I don't think this is new info - but maybe a confirmation of what some
people have suspected...
