[urq] EFI + MAC-14 maxing ataround 5k RPM

I think that MAC-14 would have stored a code. The last code I had was for the IAT - it
had shorted out inside the connector. No codes have been stored since and I have the
system wired to do diagnostics to CEL with a switch.

You are right in that it is easy to overlook something more obvious or simple. I do try
to rule out the basics long before posting, but I occasionally miss something that
should have been checked already.

I know that I'm not an expert, but has anyone considered a possible bad
Knock sensor? That might be causing this? Could the RPMs at high revs maybe
making the sensor randomly report a knock and back off the timing etc?

That might explain the back and forth of RPMs even with no load?

Again I have no clue just tossing it out there as an idea? Sometimes people
do down one road and don't look at other things?
