And I would also point out that, when going down a hill, in a normal
oldschool Manual transmission, one should also blip the throttle and if
steep enough Heel and Toe to apply brake while matching shifts.

So, if she is used to just downshifting and letting the Clutch slow the car
with the engine at a lower rev, then that might be disconcerting but that's
hard on the clutch too.

I would say that in the future maybe a slight application of the brake on a
steep hill would keep that "run-away" feeling at bay, while still allowing
the DSG to properly match its downshift.
