I did this 4 years ago and those are my pics.

The bottom two pics show how the end tank needed to be re-created - notice the "more than 90-deg" bend which needed to be created. Also see how I added a pipe going up to the factory Michelin Man hose connection. The snub mount was left in place and with the silicone coupling piece you can see on the "up-pipe" in the pictures, the 2.25" pipe lies nicely cradled by the alternator bracket arms. No modification was needed to the outboard end of the IC, just off-the shelf plumbing with AL and silicone pieces.
The only way this will work unless you have an example in a jig is if the person having the thing made is willing to get really dirty with a tape measure and use some creative thinking to make the clearances work. In my case, attempting to convey that info to a skeptical fabricator added to the fun. If your helper is that convinced it won't work, umm...it won't. This is going to be challenging to get accomplished across state lines.
