I didn't even factor in the fact I have outstanding speeding tickets in
80% of the states I will have to go thru

Registration- $75

Gas- $1000

Food & beer- $300

Hotel- $500

Bail & impound release fees-$2000

Attending the URQ NA 25er in my new 20v urq- PRICELESS!!

Wellllll hopefully us east coasters will have a strong caravan
& I will be among them.....maybe I could caravan across Canada with that
crew......oh, forgot, I'm not allowed there anymore....if I could get by
the border guard....i could blast with relative impunity across the
prairies and drop down the rockies.....

C'mon guys Dennis and I did it - your turn! - he didn't have A/C - my
A/C
worked just enough to take the edge off the heat. But I gotta say -
that
road trip in the urq was _awesome_. The cars are so meant for highway
flying. We did 1200 miles Day 1 and about 1000 Day 2. Yeah I-70 is
lame -
but in caravan everything is more fun - and if you have time take
secondary
US Highways...

The event itself will be great. Even better will be meeting all the
folks
from around the country. We hope to have the event covered by one or
magazines - we'll see - we're working on that right now.

Let's dooo eeet!

Brandon

If I get motivated it's possible, I was planning on doing a 20v
transplant
over the summer....sure would be nice to cruise out there in a fresh
transplant....although it would be cheaper to fly out or ride out w/
someone
to share expenses & driving......i could talk my girl into going but
that
would turn the trip into 2+ weeks.....

Maybe we eastcoasters should talk about this. I know the more cars
there
would be the best.....

Back of the envelope calc....4000mi/20mpg=200*$4.25=$850 in gas...just
to
blast strait out i80 & i70 with no side trips....i could do the trip in
my
veg car for like $75

And no AC in my ury......august...lot of nite driving......so far it's a
definite maybe......

What are the mikes doing ??? sylvester deltergo cunningham etc.....i'll
talk
to my buddy greg who came w/ me to the last one at felix's
