Hi Brandon,

Not much of a story teller.
It was a great pleasure to be able to not only go for a ride but also have
the opportunity to drive it.

There are very few classics that I have driven in the past.
Been in a Porsche 959 and '73 Carrera RS, that's about it.
However this being the ultimate version of the original quattro design, it
ranks up there as far as classics go.

The car drove very well and given it was in stock form I am sure few of
the Ur-Quattros on this list are probably faster and better handling.
However I enjoyed every second knowing the rarity and condition this car
is in.
Dean does an excellent job taking care of his cars and it shows.

For the guys who want to know the details, with the K27 there is not much
happening below 4500rpm. Anything on boost is very nice indeed.. chipped
3B or AAN come to mind. The breaks are outstanding, you almost have to
adjust your style because they grab in the first 1/4" of movement and they
are very powerful. The instrumentation is amazing.. Ur-q should have had
this dash. The oversize tires (255 section) did rub slightly over large
bumps. Tire selection for the 9" rim is almost non existent in the
original size and a 225 would look a bit silly on there.
Car is surprisingly stiff with all the kevlar body panels, I was expecting
it to be way more flexible than a stock Ur-q, I am sure if you push it on
track it does flex, but on the road it felt great.

This experience sure gave me a boost to continue with our project.

Again I would like to thank Dean for the privilege. He's a true enthusiast
and it was a pleasure hearing his stories.

Hope you guys speak to me again. ;)

Cheers
