[urq] Suspension modification inquiry

Bilstein plus stock '84+ springs is good.

I currently have Bilstein and Eibachs - which I like more due to slight
lowering - but still a nice ride.

I hear Koni/H&R is very low very harsh.

I talked with Andrew Bennett about their adjustable coilover setup - looks
pretty sweet.

Subject: [urq] Suspension modification inquiry

What are the opinions for a good streetable suspension mods (I have H&R
springs/Koni adjustable shocks) for a high horsepower 20V modified urq?

All other parts are correct and car has all new bushing/suspension pieces,
2Bennett Big brake kit, AAN rears, etc.

One of the reasons I did not make the Colorado event despite no AC was the
car handles bumps so poorly.

I suspect the Konis are adjusted full hard so any bump is like a
jack-hammer.

I want to avoid coil-overs if I can, although I recognize they give the most
adjustability, my experience on race cars is they are noisy which won't do
on a street car.

It would appear 2 1/2" coilover springs also eliminate the problems caused
by large stock springs and clearance issues.

Should I consider upgrading to 91+ vintage coupe struts? This requires other
things like hub mods to get 5 bolt to work, etc. which seems to be a lot of
extra work.

Any tips from the group of what has worked would be helpful. Pardon me if I
missed other discussions on this topic.

thanks for your help
