I'm not certain as to the original designation of the head I recently  
installed, but it was a brand new (not rebuilt) head set up at the factory with  
valves & cam. It is a long tail head with aggressive cam lobes. I  was lead to 
believe by some it was a "WR" head. Someone is still selling a few  on e-bay.
The bell housing end of the head is quite different from the WX or other  
common 10V heads. This means that this nice cam will not work in any other  head, 
and the valve cover, gasket and distributor will _not_ interchange. I was  
lucky to find a distributor for it locally. The dizzy was for a NA motor using  
vacuum advance etc. The gear was very different in that it was a larger 
diameter  gear and higher on the shaft. Fortunately, the internal bore size and pin  
location are the same. I therefore just swapped the gear onto a WX  dizzy. I 
also had to source a long tail valve cover and gasket. The shield/mount  for 
the injector cooling fan sensor will also no longer mount to the head.
So far I have been very impressed with the performance of this head/cam  
combo. Good low end, and does not flatten at high RPM, and boost  comes on strong. 
One issue I am uncertain about is whether this head has  sodium filled 
valves. That shouldn't be a problem as I'm doing a heart  transplant very soon to a 
20V so this is temporary.
Enjoying it immensely in the meantime! It's amazing how well an  un-cracked 
well sealed head with new guides and seats will start.
