2-3 sheets of paper would be .008" - .012". This is coincidently the
specified range for an intake valve on a hot engine. Exhaust is
.016"-.020". For cold engines, subtract .002" from both extremes of the
range on both intake and exhaust.
So, if you're measuring the intake valve you might be okay. If you're
measuring an exhaust valve, your rough numbers suggest you might be a
little on the tight side. Find the feeler gauges and confirm.
