Hi Grant,
The part I am looking for is the standard rubber hose that goes from the
chassis bracket to the slave cylinder itself. I've asked this question
because, in my foggy memory, I was sure that this hose was a 12$ part at any
part store, and replacement was very common on this list.
According to Jim Haseltine on the urQ list, the fittings are M12x1 male on
both ends, which is a common size for trucks but not for car brake hoses
(M10x1). So the suggestions from many listers is to ask my hydraulic shop
(Tuboquip in Montreal PQ) to create one for me. Before that, I'll bring the
remnants to my parts store to look for a suitable brake hose, if one exists.
The funny (or not !) story about that part is that I cut it myself, instead
of unbolting it from the transmission. I was so sure it was available and
inexpensive that I took my angle cutters and snip !, 90$ was gone from my
wallet. It may be a good thing since it was 26 years old...
