Fun article... and glad to see there's a jab in there about Audi not supporting their heritage with OE parts.

The interesting thing were the comments on the engines, about the expense of rebuild and such.? Personally, I've always thought the cost of owning and maintaining the turbo I-5's to be more reasonable than anything in the sports car market... cheap and readily available (engine) parts, simple design, and a very long lifespan.

I also humored a bit about the comment that there wasn't much a DIY'er could do?to maintain?these cars.? Realistically,?Urq's are about as simple as cars come... once you understand the quirks... and most of those have been well documented within lists like this one.? I guess I'm not sure why so many folks think the Urq's are such a mystery, considering it's a VW with an extra cylinder and a turbo.

Anyway... cool article... and really nice car, Keith.? Congrats...

Dave

Can't remember if I posted this before (I don't think so) but my car has just
been featured in a UK magazine - Classic Car Mart - in a buyers guide to the
quattro. Thankfully the picture of me was omitted from the webpage version of
the article!
All the best
