Blah Blah - too many more important things going on in my life and the world to debate Audi's lack of "classic" parts support.
Its almost our own fault really... Along the way, very few cars were maintained to a degree that would make a manufacturer take note.
It wouldn't take THAT deep of pockets to have certain reproductions made.
Stuff like trim and clips are available from other cars / manufacturers, if it don't have an UrQ part prefix on it and you have a problem with it - too bad - sell your car.
I give Javad a lot of credit for his investment in having "updated" parts manufactured, look at his line of engine / tranny / diff mounts... They even have the upper strut bearings in the higher durometer along the lines of the original 'blues'. Also the cooling hoses that were mentioned in an earlier post... Of course his investment is in parts that cross over to broad range of models, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
I would like to see a list of parts that everyone wishes to have for the UrQ, I know the early ball joints would top the list of course, but what else is there that would keep a car off the road? Surely it's not sun visor clips...
Can I shift your attention to another "passion" of mine and let you all look at an example of what a proactive enthusiast does when there is a need for a NLA part?

He created a business out of it...
Sure be nice if someone in the Audi community did the same - only on this side of the pond
