[urq] Pulling Wiring Harness out of a 200 3B?

You're right Alex. The good news is that I already have the new fuse box in
my 85.

Right now, the UrQ is untouched. Bracing myself to pull it all apart.

Wondering if Javad's approach in the existing engine would be an easier and
more logical deal?

Not attempting to be at all flippant here:
The 3B harness plugs nicely into a new-style fuse box. I used a harness and
fusebox from a 1987 Coupe GT. That was a mountain of work (gutting the UrQ's
harness, gutting the Coupe GT, reinstalling the CGT harness in the UrQ), BUT
it did make the eventual plug-in of the 3B harness go quite easily. Think
about it, if you've got your whole car apart, it's maybe not that much
work...

Martin/Todd:

My issue currently is what to salvage of the 3B harness?

Is it in effect all the wiring that emanates from the ECU,ie the "secondary"
bundle wrapped in red that goes behind the heater and up into the 200 fuse
box?

I've not even started to address removing the original harness from the
UrQ???

At this point, given the challenge of pulling the 3B harness out, I'd be
much more inclined to splice into the UrQ's harness.

Ugly job either way?

Thanks

John Corbs
