Little correction : you disconnect all the hoses to remove the oil fumes and
blowby and fuel vapors from the mixture equation so you a "pure" engine
mixture.

But you are right : there is no vacuum leaks on your engine if you have
stumble with dipstick and dead engine with oil cap removed.

Objet : [urq] vacuum leaks

Hey Guys-

If I disconnect the hoses from the valve cover, plug the hose and the valve
cover hole, remove the carbon cannister hose from the igloo, plug that hose
and the igloo nipple, it takes vacuum leaks out of the equation for setting
the DC?

I did this, and set the DC to fluctuate around 50%.

Then, I re-connected everything...DC stayed where it I set it.

Removed dip stick- got the stumble.

Removed oil cap--car stalled right away.

So, am I tight? According to the manuals I am, just wanted to make sure.

Gary
