[urq] Collector Car Insurance

Hi Mike-
Any chance you could tell us more about "usage restrictions" - i.e. no
commuting. Does that mean that you cannot drive your car to work
occasionally? I.e. does this mean if I decided to drive the urq to work on
a nice fall day and got in a fender bender I'm not covered? What if you
dive it to the office and then run some personal errands... Thanks for any
more info.

Brandon

I was with JC Taylor for the first four years I owned my Ur-Q. There was a
mileage limitation, but they did not have a problem with doing stated value
coverage on an '83 Ur-Q. The premium was around $195. A year ago my
insurance agent changed over all their JC Taylor customers to Haggerty.
Because it was a global switch by the agency, Haggerty had no problem with
the same terms for around the same $ for the first year. The biggest
difference between the two I noticed right away is Haggerty has no mileage
limitation, just "usage" (meaning it can not be a commuter car). The big
surprise was upon renewal, the premium plummeted to around $130 a year!
