Steve,
If it's the 5-cyl pump on the Coupe GT it is the same one (which ids the
same one for the early (through 1983) Audi 5000s.
I'm guessing you have the IST (Introductory Service Training) booklet (65
pages). There's a fair amount written about the hydraulic setup in it.
