[urq] Heater core

.... if you have the AC removed it should be fairly simple ... if you still have the evaporator in place (like I do) it was a complete PITA. The core will not slide out the side until you loosen the console. It has been a very long time, but I remember I had to work both inside the car and under the hood to get the console loose. Here again, fuzzy recollection, but I think the thing that was keeping the console in place was the blower motor itself.

Be sure to replace the heater hoses when you are doing the heater core .... It is a whole bunch easier when everything is apart.

Its been a few years, but I recall it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
There is an access "door" on the passenger side of the heater box that the core slides in and out of. My problem was getting the hoses and clamps on and off. I think the AC unit gets in the way as well, but I can't remember if I had to move or remove it.
