This was on a friend of mines 20valve when he bought it. It was made by Momo and was for dialing on the move when mobile phones were the size of a shoe box. Very "Knight Rider". 
I wouldn't recommend it other than as a talkng point!

  Had one in my urq and have one in my V8 5 speed.  A little smaller and meatier. Can't imagine driving without it.
