[urq] anyone installed a 01e 5spd/6spd transmission box into urquattro?

I haven't but I've seen it done, there is an UrQ 2.7TT w/01e swap taking place right here in Vegas as I write this.



The biggest obstacle relating to the transmission for them has been cutting the floor out of the car and grafting in the shifter chunk in its entirety.

The cable shifter stays complete and works great.  There are some off-the-shelf tranny mounts available from the S2 that will work, in their case they can't use them since they need clearance for the dual downpipes so a custom-fabbed trans mount that cradles it from below is in progress.




Are there specific questions you have about it that I could direct their way?
