 Eric
?
Getting on my way out of town myself, but did get a call from Nate.? Here's my order of suggestions.? First, hard jump the fuel pump to battery.?? Also, I remember years ago Bob D had a bad electrical connection at the fuel pump itself, which can cause hard-to-diagnose problems - saw that for the second time about 6 months ago.? Second would be coil.? Grounds are key as suggested, so is the intake air temp sender connection.

Not sure if I read properly your 'saw 3500 then back down while engine stayed at idle'.? If that's indeed what you saw, it could be you have either a bad rpm sensor connection (ecu or at the plug near the PS resevoir), bad rpm sensor, or worn flywheel teeth.? That's not an easy fix, so instead I would ck while running that the ignition coil is getting continuous ignition voltage = bad ignition switch.? Pretty sure I can scrounge one of those up for Nate to bring to you if that's what it needs.? This sounds ignition, not fuel related to me.

HTH and my .02

Right now I'm in the Mini on I-71 between Mid-O and Columbus.? The?urq is parked

?a bit south of Columbus.? I'll hit a FLAPS or two in Columbus to see what I can

find.

I've been told that if it's an ignition problem, the tach should drop

immediately to zero.? I definitely haven't seen that.? The tach has been

accurately reflecting engine revs, except one time while it was stumbling at

idle and I was playing with the throttle, I saw the tach jump to around 3500

rapidly then back down (engine stayed around idle).

Thanks for all the tips guys.? I'll keep everyone updated on my progress here.
