[urq] New groan.....

It almost sounds aerodynamic (!), but that seems unlikely. Wheel bearings and such aren't
usually intermittant. Any relationship to what gear you're using?
Final drive issue? Tires?

Subject: [urq] New groan.....

Hey guys,

Well, I have to say that I have truly been enjoying my ur on a daily basis. Having not
had her for the last couple of years kind of made me forget just how much fun driving it
can be. That said, she still has a few niggling issues that need sorting, so I'll start
with this.

I have a speed sensitive groan that starts around 20 mph and continues up to and around
40-50 mph. Here's where it's messing with me.....it is intermittent of course. No amount
of braking, sharp turning, or acceleration will either create it or make it go away. Has
happened a bit more often, and seems to be getting a bit louder. Also, I have only heard
it from inside the car. Have not been able to replicate it when it drives by me to figure
it out. It is not engine-speed sensitive, it is velocity-speed sensitive. Could maybe be
a wheel bearing? There has been no CV joint boot leaks visually, and all else seems to be
visually okay. Car handles and brakes well. No odd vibrations coming from the tranny
through the shifter......just the odd, intermittent groan.

Anyone care to throw an idea as to where else to start looking?

Thanks!
